Story

Ek Tha Tiger is a romantic thriller which tells the story of a Trinity College scientist suspected of selling missile technology secrets to Pakistan. The Indian government sends a secret agent, codenamed Tiger (Salman Khan), to find out about the professor's activities. Tiger falls in love with the professor's caretaker Zoya (Katrina Kaif) who is studying at a fictional dance academy located at TCD, and together they embark on a roller-coaster journey that takes them from Dublin to Istanbul then to Kazakhstan and Chile.

Shooting was carried out in India, Germany, Malaysia and Switzerland. The plot of the film continues from the end of the first film, starting in Malaysia and moving to Europe. The release and marketing of the film was carried out on 23 December 2011 by Reliance Entertainment, in both 2D and 3D formats,which included the dubbed versions in Tamil and Telugu.The film marks Farhan Akhtar’s return to direction after a gap of nearly 5 years. It also marks Khan’s return to playing villainous characters since his earlier films like Darr and Baazigar.Don 2 is the first sequel in Khan’s two-decade long career.
